About Jess Wolstenholm
Jess Wolstenholm is an author, blogger and freelance writer. Founder of Grace for Moms and Gather and Grow and co-author of The Pregnancy Companion and Baby Companion books, Jess became passionate about sharing grace for moms as she navigated the early days of her own mothering journey. Following the loss of her mom to pancreatic cancer in 2012, she focused on continuing the legacy of faith started by her wonderfully imperfect parents. When she isn’t writing here, or at Gather & Grow, Tommy Nelson, JellyTelly or The Huffington Post, you can find Jess teaching kids at her home church or taking notes for the local PTO. She lives outside Nashville, Tennessee with her amazing husband, Dave and their two miracles, Hope (8) and Joshua (5).
While navigating our paths of infertility and multiple pregnancy losses, Kristy Chowning and I cultivated a deep friendship on the foundation of grace and shared experience. Several years into our mothering journey, we discovered the need for a place that moms and moms-to-be could come to share their stories and offer each other camaraderie, support and advice – always covered in grace. Every one of us comes from a different background, complete with differing circumstances and preferences. When we realized that motherhood is not one size fits all, Grace for Moms was born. Kristy has taken a step back to answer God’s call on her life to focus on homeschooling her children and their family business. But she remains God’s gift of friendship to me and I know she’s cheering us on.
